[Hata Syunsai] (a kamashi, a craftsman who makes chagama)
2nd generation (Hata Syunsai)
Born in Takaoka city (Toyama prefecture) in 1944.
He has some inherited traditional technique of potteries by the 1st Syunsai and novel sense of potteries. He has still kept on going well on his business.
In 1971, he was accepted in the first time for Japan Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition.
In 1973, he was awarded the Japan Art Craft Chief Award (Nihon Kougei Kaichou Award) at the Japan Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition.
In 1982, he succeeded the 2nd Syunsai.
