[Shoraku NISHIYAMA] (1935- )
A Japanese potter. Born in Nishio city, Aichi prefecture in 1935.
Shoraku learned Japanese paintings under Hitoshi Komatsu (a well-known Japanee painter, Person of Cultural Merits) and pottery methods under his father.
Shoraku established his studio in Noshiyama, Kyoto in 1989, and has been received guidance from Sokushu Akiyohi, the chief priest of Daitokuji Hoshuin temple.
