[Jo'un KANAYA] 1933-
 A Japanese iron caster. Born in Toyama prefecture. The regular member of Nihon Kogeikai.
Jo'un learned chasing techniques under Kankei Han’nya, a well-known tea kettle caster in Takaoka city, Toyama prefecture. At Kankei’s studio, he produced tea utensils such as bronze Furo braziers for 40 years, and succeeded Sahari technique (chasing technique to produce copper alloy with traces of silver, lead, or tin ), which was his master’s specialty. Jo'un is famous as a producer of furo brazier who can create various kinds of them including rare kinds of braziers. He produces bronze works such as flower vases for tea ceremony as well as furo brazier.
