Ro is suitable for a formal occasion so used for Tomesode, Homogi, and Komon as well as Juban for Summer, Summer mourning kimono, obi age and obi belt.
[Shioze]
Shioze is a silk fabric with ribs made of thick weft and thin warp. As it is the piece-dyed cloth, it is widely used for the types of obi. Because it is easy to fasten and hardly comes loose as well as sets off, Shioze obi is very popular.
[Rozashi]
Rozashi is one of Japanese stitching methods, which has a history of 1200 years, since the Tenpyo period. The Japanese translate the word "Rozashi" to mean a puncturing (sashi) of the canvas (Ro).
Silk kimono fabric is placed in a wooden frame and special silk threads are embroidered vertically often expressing traditional designs.
